An absolute pleasure sitting next to Nigel and getting to know him.

With love and many happy memories of Nigel especially all those involving my parents Bob and Pam Heard. He made them very very happy musically and as friends over many decades.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to be one of the “Class of 2023” with you and Richard. May you rest in peace and play your music in Heaven to delight the angels

Nigel, you have given so much to so many for so long and it’s been magical. We shared our love of Morris cars too. I’m sure heaven will have Morris Minors - I hope they’re not electric! God bless.

Hope all goes well at the funeral today. Nigel was a lovely, extremely talented man who will be much-missed.

In memory of a brilliant organist, pianist and composer who gave so much pleasure in his radio broadcasts and public performances . I’ve enjoyed his presentations since the beginning of his stewardship of The Organist Entertains , and more latterly his presentations on The Organist Encores.

In memory of a lovely man and brilliant musician. Nigel gave me much pleasure on the radio for over 45 years . He is sadly missed .

Treasured memories of happy times with our family and friends on the Isle of Wight. Nigel travelled down from Manchester on many occasions to play a variety of organs; often the concerts were to raise money towards the restoration of the wonderful Ryde Town Hall concert organ and to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation and The Society for the Preservation of Isle of Wight Church Bells. He kindly played at St. George's Church, Arreton in 1994 for our daughter's wedding. Nigel was a very talented musician, a wonderful entertainer and a kind, generous and caring gentleman with a great sense of fun. My dear late Mum 'loved him to bits', she would listen to him on the radio and would travel to the mainland to hear him play. We will miss him very much and will cherish the happy times spent in his company. Island tower bell ringers will be dedicating a day of ringing at several Island churches on St. Patrick’s Day, this date chosen as Nigel knew my love of Irish music and would often include an Irish medley in his concert programme. Thank you, Nigel. R.I.P.
